is $7000 too much for one with 580 hours on it and a 2 stage rear pto snowthrower, power steering and hydro.

From what I gather there was only one year sold for that model. Even in pristine condition and 4x that is too high, about 4-5K in more on the mark. ....

I paid $6500 for one last year w/540 hours and 4X I'm VERY happy with it. I know that's high and I know I could find something a lot cheaper but not in that size. The only thing I regret is no power steering and no live pto. Can someone with more knowledge recommend a Compact diesel about the same size with all those features. A dual speed pto would be a big bonus. ....

Go to Ag Equipment USA to check out Eicher 35 hp at $9995 with warranty and other products.
There is no practical use for a small tractor (in the US) for dual speed PTO! 1000 rpm will destroy any equipment designed for 540. Many people find it out the hard way. ....

The 5215 is 18hp that Eicher sounds like it's way to big unless it's on a small frame tractor. But i'll check it out ,thanks. And yes there are a few tractor attachments that are specifically designed for 1000 rpm ....

That Eicher is a nice little tractor!Makes you wonder what's out there, never heard of them.
Anyway that just helps to prove my point about so much money for the 5215 which I believe weighs in the area of 1300lbs.
This is what I need:
power steering
4X4
hydro tranny
live pto (dual speed preferred 540/1000)
cat1 3pt hitch
also would like it to have independant controls for the hitch so that i may raise and lower it without the mowing deck, that way I don't have to remove my belly mower.
I would consider anything that comes close to having ALL those features
Thanks all for the suggestions
BTW I bought a First Choice rear discharge 5' mower deck
IT SUCKS!!!

The CK20 Kioti and Kubota BX 22 may be more tractor than you need, but they are near the 9-10K price. I am afraid that I would not recommend less than about 20 hp, you will find even at 20 that some thing you need to do are limited by the available horses.

Thanks but i'm stuck with The First Choice mower, unless I could sell with not much of a loss.
I am not opposed to more horse power just tractor size I mow 3.5 acres so I don't really need a big tractor. Plus I would love to put a loader on it later on. ....
